What To Expect After Labour Day Weekend In Ottawa Real Estate

Back to school is like a line in the sand.

We're just having a team meeting this morning, talking about what happens after Labour day weekend, and how we prepare.

Buyers at this time of year are thinking 'I want to be in before Thanksgiving. I want to be in before the snow falls.

'I want to be in before Christmas' Buyers are going to act very quickly at this time of year.

So, the pendulum swings. If you wait till January, February, those closings seem to be in May and June. There's a lot of buyer confidence out there.

The economy is somewhat improved. You see gas prices coming down.

Interest rates have nudged down pricing of homes is back to 2021. So, it's a lot more affordable.

Buyers are on the move. They're making decisions now where we saw a real bit of a pause at the 15th of May till the end of June. Now they're still over home selling, but there was less with when more buyers were sitting on the fence going:

'What happens next?'

Those buyers have returned to the market. They're now shopping.

If you're thinking about selling your home, chances are, we can get that home sold relatively quickly in the months of September to December and make that move before the snowfall.

We're having a team meeting this morning, talking about customer service, quality, the customer experience, and how to make sure that our clients win.

My name is Greg Hamre from RE/MAX Affiliates in Ottawa and the Hamre Real Estate Team.
