People often ask me, is this a good time to buy or sell in real estate?
The experience was very calm, it was smooth, everything rolled out smoothly. It was not overwhelming, and that's always the fear of when you go to sell, that it will be overwhelming. It all took place very quickly! ⚡️
?One day, it was our anniversary actually, in late August and my wife, Stefanie said, "you know, I think it's time for a change, a time for a move". Our kids had moved on, they're in their mid-twenties. One's getting married and has her own condo. And our son is chasing his dream in the U.S. and we don't know when he'll see him for quite a while.
So it was one of those times in our lives. When we just said, this is it - let's do it now! We had a property with a pool and lovely gardens and stuff. And there's a timing issue on that - it was either now, or it was, it was in the spring for us. So we said, okay, let's make a move!
Then we booked a photographer - The photographer came in and did wonderful photos, and did our 3D tour of the home. Then I did my storytelling video in our studio and the storytelling video's humbling when you're doing it, on your own home, it's different. That video had more than 1200 views on it in just a few days so that we had lots of exposure.
We sold for substantially over the asking price, almost a record price for a bungalow in Cumberland Estates! Then we were onto the next phase and that was buying and it all happened on the same day. So we were buying, we found a house that we liked. It worked for us on our next adventure and the lifestyle we were looking for.
It happened, it was smooth, calm, easygoing, and it all happened within a relatively short period of time. A couple of weeks talking about listing, getting the house ready, putting the house on the market, negotiating the offers, and having a place to go it's you can do it, It's manageable.
I hope to see you soon. Take care.
