Good Deals In Ottawa Real Estate
🏡 If you're someone who's looking for a deal in this market, you're going to want to listen to this story. Melanie Giray with the Hamre Team at RE/MAX Affiliates in Ottawa. 🕑 And about a month and a half ago, I had seen a condo with my client. 🏢 They really liked it, but they weren't ready just yet to pull the trigger and to put in a offer, buyers in this market tend to be a little bit more conservative with their decisions because they do feel as though they have a little bit more time to make that decision, which fair enough. ⏱️ They do tend to have a little bit more time than they would in a more normal spring market. 💬 So all this to say my buyer did not put in an offer right away. ⏭️ Fast forward. 🔄 A few weeks later, he was like, hey, Mel, I want to put in an offer on the condo that we saw and see what kind of price I might be able to negotiate. 🔍 So I do a little bit of digging. 🎃 Turns out this condo had actually expired on Halloween, so it was no longer advertised as active to the general public, it was now an expired listing. 💰 So long story short, we put in an offer on this expired listing and a few counters later, we were able to put the deal together and ultimately, my client was able to negotiate over 5% off of the list price. 👍 So my buyer is happy he got the deal that he wanted. 🤔 And all this to say, you never know what kind of deal you might be able to get in this market, whether that's at negotiating the list price, the closing date, inclusions or even potentially putting an offer on a property that has expired. 🌟 You never know what might happen if you need any guidance, navigating the Ottawa real estate market. 🏠 I want to help you out. 👋 I'm Melanie Giray with the Hamre Team and have a wonderful day.
