Best kept secret in Ottawa

Let me share with you one of the best-kept secrets in Ottawa. It is a community called Convent Glen North on the East end of the city.

My name is Greg Hamre from RE/MAX Affiliates in Ottawa and the Hamre Real Estate Team and we have a beautiful new listing on Arrowhead, which is in the Voyageur loop of Convent Glen North, a very sought after streetscape and a very sought after community.

The community itself was designed and built by Costain. One of Ottawa's premium builders back in the 1980s and the design of the community has lots of bike paths, walking trails, and greenery throughout, the schools are sought after, we are just south of the Ottawa river. You can bike path along the Ottawa river, or go down to see the sunsets easy access off the 174 highway as we are at the very West end of the Greenbelt on the East end.

I also like the walking distance to the new LRT and the low congestion shopping mall with lots of great stores and amenities.

This home itself though is deep on the street. When you drive up to it, it has a great front curb appeal. I like the soldier's march of the interlock that goes up both sides of the double-length driveway and then an interlock front walkway up to the covered front door.

So you don't have to take your luggage after a trip to the basement. The basement itself though is finished with a rec room with twin windows, a den area a large workshop, storage, and utility room with inside access to the garage, it's a single car garage.

The backyard is hedged and fenced and on the Westside it is a PVC fence and there is a deck area and a barbecue sitting area, lots of natural light through this home because the backyard faces South.
