Canada Day in Ottawa is the place to be for the nation's birthday. It is the cities Marti Gras of festivals. On July 1, hundreds of thousands of people celebrate Canada Day in the streets with concerts, picnics, fireworks, street performances, and other activities. This year will be extra special with the Queen and Prince Philip's in attendance.
This year Canada Day's main sites are Parliament Hill, Major's Hill Park, Jacques-Cartier Park, and Confederation Park.
It is an exciting all day event. The finally is the fireworks at 10:00 pm. They are outstanding!
